Figure of Armen

A poetic journey through the highlands of the South Caucasus, Figure of Armen explores the daily lives of Armenians in the Armenian countryside and surrounding territories of Artsakh and Javakheti.  Through a series of colourful characters, the filmmaker delves into the challenges faced by these communities since the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991.

Personal testimonies and intimate storytelling reveal how life has changed across the region, capturing both the struggles and resilience of a society grappling with the idea of national rebirth in the aftermath of a devastating earthquake and a bloody war.
